The department includes the Pfizer Distinguished Endowed Chair in Pharmaceutical Technology, Michael Pikal, and the Boehringer Ingelheim Endowed Chair in Mechanistic Toxicology, Urs Boelsterli. Three faculty are Board of Trustees Distinguished Professors, Diane Burgess, Debra Kendall, and John Morris. Ekneet Sahni, a Ph.D. graduate in pharmaceutics working with Professor Bodhi Chaudhuri, won the best poster award in the Particle Technology Forum Poster Session at the Annual Meeting of American Institute of the Chemical Engineers (AIChE) in Minneapolis, MN on October 16-21, 2011.
Dr. Diane Burgess, Board of Trustees Distinguished Professor in Pharmaceutics, was awarded Fellow designation at the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) 21st Annual Event in Washington, DC on February 19-21, 2012.
